For almost 50 Years The Dixie Gospel Caravan has been Birmingham’s home for southern Gospel music. During that time we have provided Central and North Alabama with an outlet for all their favorite artists including The Cathedrals, Legacy Five, The Perrys, The Gaithers and more! It is a rich history led by Wayne Wallace for 45 years. Sadly, Mr. Wallace went to be with the Lord in 2013 but The Dixie Gospel Caravan lives on as part of his legacy.

This award-winning show is now held in the capable hands of Mickey Bell.  Mickey is not only an award-winning news producer and radio host but he is also a musician in the industry. In fact, he was inducted into the Gospel Musical Hall of Fame (2016) due to his years of traveling with The Nelons. This gives him a unique insight and access to the inner circle of the artists you love to hear. He is passionate and brings a vibrant energy to the show. Mickey lives in Jefferson County with his wife Wendy and daughter Logan. You can reach Mickey at mickey@850wxjc.com.

Tune in to the Dixie Gospel Caravan each evening from 6PM until midnight on 92.5 FM and 850 AM, The Truth!
